Soft drapes inspired by South India

Whispers of Veil is a poetic homage to my native land, the mist-laden hills of Coorg in South India and to the quiet strength of the women who shaped me. Rooted in memory and reimagined for the future, the collection draws from the Coorgi saree’s distinctive back pleats, a drape always folded behind, never in front. That subtle reversal became a metaphor: of ancestral strength that is not loud, but lasting. This is not a collection of nostalgia, it is memory held with intention. A modern reinterpretation of regal South Indian draping, pared down to its essence. White evokes the silence of sacred rituals, temple stone, and morning fog. Gold appears only in whispers hand-beaded in moments of stillness, glowing softly like an ember, not meant to dazzle, but to remember. Here, draping becomes quiet rebellion, a way of saying more by doing less. Whispers of Veil lives in the space between what is worn and what is felt. It is for the woman who doesn’t just wear her heritage, she carries it within, like a prayer stitched gently down her spine.
